We've been celebrating farmers all week and continue to do so.

It's all part of the 'Thank a Farmer' contest we've been talking up over the last few weeks.

Thanks to everyone for nominating farmers far and wide.

Congrats to Mike Imler who's name was picked on Monday.  He was nominated by a few people including Whitney Stratton.

She says "I've known the Imlers for almost 10 years and have seen the trials that come with being a farmer especially this season with all the rain they have not been able to combine. They are always sponsoring events in the community whether it's a young hockey team who needs track suits or the ladies compassion cup which benefits local charities. They are simply goog people who work insanely hard and are very deserving of thanks or recognition.

And congrats to Rachel and Tyler Hebert.  April Hutchinson nominated them because "they run a family business, just the two of them.  They raise organic grass fed beef.  They are amazing humans who welcome people onto their ranch to see their cows, to ask questions, to learn about ranching.  They are conscious of their environmental footprint and really care about their animals."

These are just two of the very deserving farmers that have been nominated.

And they both picked up 2 tickets to Farm Forum in Calgary (Dec 4-6) valued at $500 each as well as a nice prize pack from Bio-Cycle Solutions.

We will pull one more name out of the hat before the week is over.

Good luck to all and happy harvesting!
