It's not quite the Flames and Oilers but the war of words is on between Joe Clark School and Senator Riley School in High River..

They're battling to see who can collect the most bottles.

Adrienne Lockton is backing Joe Clark school, even though she has a child in each, and says they're making it as easy as they can for people to donate...

"We'll have the bottle trailers at each of our schools, anybody who feels like donating to either school can just drop them off, right at the school by the bottle trailer there'll be somebody there each day to put them in the trailer, we also have the ability to pick them up for people who can't drop them off, by contacting either school," Lockton says.

Crystal Afleck says the good-natured war of words is already underway.

"We did see their (Joe Clark school) post on Thursday, unfortunately, our sign wasn't working for we put a big post on Facebook to counter their challenge," she says. "I've been working with bottles now for a long time with scouts so this is kind of my realm."

Last year's bottle drives brought in about $8,000.
