There are so many different organizations that happen almost "behind the scenes" in High River to make our community as great as can be! Thanks to their amazing service in our community we are able to all feel welcome and included in the town and all that it has to offer. The Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society, Foothills SNAPS, Wildrose Community Connections, and Literacy for Life were all celebrating their 20 year anniversary!! To show our thanks to these organizations and all that they do in our community in George Lane Park there was a community gathering with a BBQ, bouncy houses, face painting and kids games and crafts!

Zane Bews was in the park from the local library making buttons out of your choice of any comic strip on the table.

Bubbles also filled the park!

The Kinsmen Group of High River was also there cooking up some lunch for everyone with hotdogs and hamburgers covering the grill all afternoon long!

There was no charge to come to this event but food bank items were welcomed with open arms from the Salvation Army booth near the entrance of the park. The Salvation Army was also there promoting their upcoming events as well as providing complementary coffee, tea and water.

There was entertainment on the gazebo all throughout the day thanks to some dancers, of all ages, showcasing their talent and culture on the stage for all to watch.

Their outfits were beautiful, covered in many bright colors.

It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon and I hope you were able to join in on the fun!

Another big thanks to these amazing organizations and all that they do for our community each and everyday.

Hope you have a great day,
