Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Foothills as an unstable airmass sits over the area  on Wednesday, July12.

There is the potential for these storms to produce hail the size of golf balls and can cause property property damage.

The watch includes a large area from south of Hinton to south of Claresholm.
