Two Edmonton Police officers were killed this morning in the line of duty

Two Edmonton Police Service patrol officers were killed in the line of duty Thursday morning.

They were responding to a call, but no other information has been released.

Dozens of police officers have been on scene near the neighbourhoods of Inglewood and Woodcroft in Edmonton.

Police have blocked off access to an apartment building.

A news conference is scheduled for later this morning when more details are expected to be announced.
