Vulcan area law enforcement were out in full force on the long weekend.

Constable Todd Olson with the RCMP says there were only a hand full of speeding offences....

 

 

He says there were four fire complaints including the suspected arson of an storage building on a farm.

Here's a list of what they dealt with.....

The calls for service consisted of:
• 4 - Fire complaints (three related to the recent fire ban and one suspected Arson),
• 2 - Domestic Assaults,
• 1 - Impaired Driving,
• 1 - Drug Investigation,
• 1 - Missing Person who was located,
• 1 - Assist to Locate an overdue traveller - located,
• 1 - Fail to Comply with an Undertaking,
• 1 - Resist/Obstruct a Police Officer,
• 1 - False Alarm - residential,
• 1 - Traffic Hazard - cattle on highway,
• 1 - Assistance to General Public,
• 1 - Drive While Disqualified,
• 1 - 911 call,
 

The calls for service resulted in the following Criminal Code charges laid:
 
• Fail to Comply with an Undertaking,
• Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle,
• Obstruct Police Officers,
• Flight from Police Officers,
• Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle,
• Possession of a Controlled Substance,
• Resisting Arrest,
• Obstruct Police Officers.
 

Tickets issued for the weekend consisted of:
 
• 6 - Vehicle Equipment, Documentation and Operation Offences,
• 4 - Speed related Offences,
• 4 - Alcohol related Offences.
 

A substantial number of the incidents throughout the weekend were alcohol related.
