Results are in from local water samples gathered last month.

Alberta Agriculture says, overall, the 966 bodies of water tested throughout the province are in good condition.

One of the four sites sampled near Black Diamond and Turner Valley did have low oxygen, but water quality specialist Sarah Depoe says there's no reason to worry.

"That can occur during times of the year when the water is really warm and vegetation is dying off, so there were instances of that but it's a part of the natural cycle"

They also tested for P-H, turbidity and temperature levels.

Over 2700 everyday albertans collected the samples to celebrate water quality awareness day.
