Two men are facing charges after a traffic stop that led to the seizure of drugs and weapons.

Fort Macleod RCMP were carrying out a traffic operation when they came across a driver who was wanted by the Calgary Police Service.

In the car, police seized  254 grams of Marijuana, 18 grams of suspected Methamphetamine, two grams of suspected Fentanyl, and three prohibited weapons.

Clayton Roger Doyle (30) of Claresholm is facing the following charges:

  •  Possession of Schedule 1 drug (x2)

  • Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon (x3)

  • Weapon possession contrary to an Order (x3)

  • Resist/obstruct a peace officer

The other man, 26-year-old Cameron Leo Rasmussen of Fort Macleod, is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of Schedule 1 drug (x2)

  • Possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling

  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon (x3)

  • Resist/obstruct a peace officer

Both were released on bail with conditions, and both are scheduled to appear in Fort Macleod Provincial Court on August 24.
