I find myself asking that very question to myself once in awhile, especially after splashing in mud puddles on Tuesday.

I did find myself asking many high school students on Wednesday at the Junior Achievement World of Choices Forum at St James Church in Okotoks.

It was amazing getting a chance to meet over 200 grade 10 to 12 students from throughout the foothills and hearing their answers to "The future is...".

Most like myself have an inkling of what they want to do but this forum was an opportunity to provide more insight and they were soaking it up.

The keynote speaker, Barrett Martineau who just came back from the 2018 Winter Olympics representing Canada in Skeleton really brought it home when he talked about failing and persevering.

Barrett said "fail and fail big and then pick yourself up and plow forward".

You could tell he really connected with the teens as they flocked to his table to ask for advice.

It also inspired me to hear so many optimistic young adults soaking up the atmosphere and asking questions.

Our future is in good hands.

Special thanks to the Senior Regional Coordinator for Junior Achievement of Southern Alberta, Timmi Shorr for putting it together.  Amazing job!
