With Christmas right around the corner, there will be changes to many different schedules around town.

Town hall will be closed from Monday, Dec 25 to Monday, January 1, but will return back to their regular hours on January 2, 2024.

The FCSS Resource Centre and Foothills Community Counselling & Greater Foothills Family Centre will also be closed from Monday, December 25 to Monday, January 1, with hours returning to normal on January 2, 2024.

The town's Operations building, as well as the Recycling Centre, will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1, but will be open regular hours otherwise.

Parks and Recreation buildings will be open to the public during the holidays but will have reduced hours on a couple of days.

The Parks and Rec buildings will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1, but will be closed at 4 p.m. on December 24 and 31.

Fire Services administrative staff will be off from Monday, December 25 to Monday, January 1, and will return to their regular schedule on January 2, 2024.

Administrative staff for the RCMP will be off on December 25, 26, and January 1.

While administration staff will be off for both fire services and the RCMP, emergency services will remain unaffected.

The High River library will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1, with the rest of their schedule unaffected.

There will be a slight disruption to garbage collection in High River.

For those who have their garbage collected on Tuesdays are asked to roll their bins out later in the week.

If you live in Northwest High River, roll your bins out on Wednesday, December 27, while those living in Southwest High River, make sure your bins are out for Thursday, December 28.

The Distress Centre (24-hour Crisis Line) will stay open over the holidays. Their number is 403-266-4357.

The AHS Intake line will be open over the holidays. Their number is 403-943-1500

And of course, 9-1-1 will remain available for anyone who may need their assistance.
