Canada Day is coming up on Friday, and as usual, the Town of Okotoks has a few things in store.

Ball diamond number 10 at Wylie Athletic Park will have entertainment scheduled from 11:15 a.m. to  2:25 p.m.

That includes performances from the canine performance group The Bark Side, puppeteer DerRic Starlight, and the Youth Singers of Calgary.

The town will also be launching their free art wall under the Northridge Drive Bridge.

It will feature white concrete panels which residents are invited to paint using supplies provided by the Okotoks Arts Council.

The main event, the big fireworks show, will be held at Bill Robertson Park (formerly Riverside Community Park at 1400 North Railway Street), is scheduled for 10:45 p.m.

A full breakdown of the day's events can be found on the town's website.
