Claresholm is home to another millionaire, after it's second resident in the past 12 months has won the lottery.

Katherine Richardson won a $7 million LOTTO 6/49 Jackpot with a set of numbers she says she has been playing for a long time.

"I’ve been playing the same numbers for 37 years,” She says “I looked at the ticket and saw I had four numbers, then I saw I had all of them!
I just couldn’t believe it. I didn’t think it could be real!”

Richardson said she plays both LOTTO 6/49 and Western 649 using the same two sets of numbers that she's chosen based on significant dates and birthdays in her life.

2, 5, 10, 18, 26, and 30 were her winning LOTTO 6/49 numbers from January 18.

Still a little in shock, Richardson says she hasn't made too many plans for her winnings, but she does plan on taking care of her loved ones, planning some reno's on her home and just maybe upgrading her vehicle.

She bought her winning ticket at the Pharmasave in Claresholm.

The first resident of the town to win the lottery earlier this year won $1 million on the May 24, 2019 Western Max draw.
