Big Valley's Zeke Thurston was the lone Albertan to walk away with a cheque for $100,000 at the end of the Stampede Rodeo Sunday, July 16.

He rode to a 90 on "Timely Delivery" in saddle bronc in the championship finals.

Nanton Saddle Bronc rider, Clay Elliott, rode on Sunday with a final score of 83, just short of making the final round that evening.

Another Nanton local, Tie-Down Roper Logan Bird, also fell short of making the final round after his ride on Sunday afternoon.

DeWinton bull rider Brock Radford was bucked off in round one of the semi's on Saturday.
