The Tom Hornecker Recreation Centre in Nanton will be rockin' this Saturday.

It's the Foothills Bisons Midget AA's 15th Annual Benefit Game.

Team manager Tanya McPhee says the struggling Bisons will be taking on a tough Medicine Hat Hounds team.

"Medicine Hat is second in the league right now but we were able to play them a couple of weekends ago and I think we ended up 4-3, we almost get them but not quite so the boys have come a little ways so far, but we're just hoping for a good game," McPhee says.

She says they've asked the players to round up non-perishable items and have requested all the teams in the Foothills league down to the novice level put together team packages of food donations to bring in to the game as well.

Puck drop is set for 4:30 p.m. Saturday February 25 and there's a silent auction, 50/50 and door prizes up for grabs with the funds raised this year going to the Salvation Army.

She says last year they were able to raise about $5,000 for Rowan House Women's Emergency Shelter.
