The Okotoks Oilers 12 game winning streak came to a screeching halt with a 4-0 loss to the Brooks Bandits Tuesday, February 5, at the Pason Centennial Arena.

Oilers defenceman Ryan Grant says in the end, Brooks just outplayed them.

"I thought we worked hard. But at the end of the day we've got to put pucks in the net and we didn't do that and they capitalized on their chances. So, overall I thought we had a really good game, but the bounces just didn't go our way."

The Bandits out shot the Oilers 26-23 on the night and were 1-for-5 with the man advantage.

The Bandits run their winning streak to 23 games with the win.

The Oilers are in Drumheller Friday, February 8.
