With 11 games to go in the regular season, the stakes couldn't be higher for the Okotoks Oilers Saturday night.

It will feel like a playoff match-up when the Oilers face the Calgary Canucks for the final time this season pending a potential playoff round.

The Canucks and Oilers are tied for second place in the South Division heading into weekend AJHL action but the Canucks hold the tie-breaker with more regulation wins.

In the season series the Oilers have wrapped that tie break aspect up with four wins out of a possible five, but game number five went to the Canucks who won at Max Bell Centre January 18 by a score a 4-1 score.

The Oilers and Canucks won their previous match-ups this week with the green and gold taking care of the Calgary Mustangs 4-2 Tuesday while the Canucks got their biggest win of the year on Wednesday beating the first place Brooks Bandits at home 6-2.

Puck-drop is 7 p.m. at Pason Centennial Arena. You can catch the game live on The Eagle 100.9 starting with the pre-game show at 6:45 p.m.
