The Annual "Field of Dreams" charity ball game is coming up next month at Seaman Stadium in Okotoks, and one of the charities being helped out is "Life Choice Dynamics" which is the brain child of Vulcan's Jack Fulton.

Fulton says he saw a need to help pro athletes transition from sports back to a regular life that wasn't being met, and causing harm.

He says he pitched his plan to Calgary Stampeders General Manager John Hufnagel a few years ago and hasn't looked back since.

"And after John heard what we were doing, we weren't even in his office an hour when he said, "I want you here. I want you on the field and in the dressing room so you can earn the trust of the players." And it's been seven years now, and it's worked out really well."

The game featuring Calgary Flames Alumni taking on current and former Calgary Stampeders along with a sprinkling of Okotoks Dawgs players goes Friday, May 18.
