The High River Flyers only have eight games left on their schedule for the season.

Coach Tyson Avery says they front loaded the season, which gives them a more rested team in the second half, looking ahead to the Heritage League playoffs.

"You know the guys are going to reap the rewards in the end. Less games means less chance of being hurt. You know, not as tired and we can always have more time to fix up our game and get our guys rested up."

The Flyers play Okotoks, Coaldale and Cochrane twice more, with single games against Strathmore and Medicine Hat to round out their season.
