Not the game the High River Flyers were hoping to play yesterday afternoon as they hosted the Medicine Hat Cubs and were defeated 5 to 4 in the Hertage Junior Hockey League.

The cubs jumped out to the lead in the first period but the Flyers tied things up early in the second period.

They went back and forth with High River in front and the Cubs hanging in tying up the game three times before taking the lead and the win.

The Okotoks Bisons with two wins on the weekend move into first place with 40 points while Coaldale is now in second with 38 POINTS.

With 37 points each Cochrane is in third and High River moves to fourth.

The Flyers are home Friday night against the Cochrane Generals, game time is 8 p.m. at the Rec-plex.
