The head coach of the High River Flyers came to the Chamber Lunch meeting on Thursday, January 18th looking for some support for his team.

Tyson Avery says the team is also looking to help out.

"We have to get behind the community for the community to get behind us," said Avery. "We want to be out there and be ambassadors. We want to help anyway we can. Setting events up and tearing them down, handing out flyers for someone, whatever they need we want to be there to help and we want the Town to know that for sure."

He's hoping by helping out they can get a little more support from the fans in the stands as they head into a playoff run.

"We are a first place team right now. We don't have the games in hands like Coaldale, Okotoks and Cochrane do, but we are battling for first place, we want more support from the town."

"We have young hard-working guys out their playing their best for this town."

He added they are a skilled, fast team that is out there to win, develop players and make this Town proud of them.

Their next home game against Medicine Hat Saturday afternoon at 4:30 at the Rec-plex.
