The High River Flyers won again last night, Saturday Feb 24th.

The took out the Coaldale Copperheads with a decisive 5 to 1 win in the Snakepit.

It was a scrappy, playoff win with two fights, one in the second period and another at the 18:43 mark of the third perod which included a line brawl with both lines being handed 5 game misconducts per team.

It was also a night Connor Taylor won't forget as he scored a hat trick along with assisting on Davis Sheldon's empty netter. 

Taylor opened the scoring 51 seconds into the contest and added another unassisted before the first period wrapped up. 

He added his third goal at the 6:52 mark of the second and then Sheldon added 2 more in the third to seal the deal. 

Sheldon also finished with 4 points, 2 goals and 2 assists to lead the HJHL playoffs with 10 points.

Chanz Vinct also had a standout performance in net for the Flyers stopping 45 of 46 shots.

The Flyers are now just 1 win away from the South Division Finals as they lead the best of five series 2 games to 1.

Game 4 in the series goes this Friday, March 2nd in High River at the Bob Snodgrass Rec-Plex.
