The High River Flyers proved they play with big hearts on Saturday.

They traveled to Cochrane to play the Generals in Heritage Junior B League action.

Flyers Davis Sheldon opened the scoring for both teams, but a whopping six penalties in the first period against  the Flyers might have had something to do with the Cochrane Generals jumping out to a 4 to 1 lead.

Cochrane continued to dominate getting in front 6 to 1.

The Flyers dug deep, came back to life and added four goals, one in the second and three more in the third.

It wasn't quite enough as the Generals got one more and won 7 to 5.
