Friday the 13th proved to be a lucky night for the High River Flyers in the Heritage Junior Hockey League.

The hometown team took out the Stettler Lightning 10-3 at the Rec-Plex.

They were up 7-0 in the second period before the Lightning got on the scoreboard.

Mason Mazur earned a hat trick with Evan Pakkala picked up a pair of goals on the night.

Scoring was a team effort as Michael McTighe, Connor Taylor, Egor Sinko, Ryan Kanten and Braiden Burke all added singles to the tally.

Next up they travel to Didsbury tonight Oct. 14th for an 8 p.m. game against Mountian View.
