Things have kind of gone from bad to worse for the Lomond Lakers of the Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League.

Mired in a 12 game losing skid, the team has lost their Head Coach as Mike Glawson has stepped down, to spend more time with the Canmore Eagles of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

"Yeah, it was as tough decision. I mean, this is something I've been thinking about for the last couple of weeks, something that I've battled with. I think in the end it's probably something that's going to work out best for both the Lomond Lakers and myself."

Glawson says it was getting to be a bit too much going back and forth between the Lakers and Eagles and then scouting other games for the Eagles on days without games or practices and was taking a toll on his home life.

Glawson, who's been scouting for the Eagles for a few years, is eyeing a move behind the bench with the club.

In the meantime, Lakers General Manager, Brad Koch will take over for Glawson behind the bench on an interim basis.
