The High River Flyers have started to find their footing a third of the way into their Heritage Junior "B" Hockey League season.

Flyers Coach, Colten Hayes says the key to their success lately has been confidence.

"Confidence is such a funny thing in hockey and once you have a lot of confidence in yourself and your team, anything is do-able"

The Flyers have found that confidence and have picked up some very important points ahead of this weekend.

A 7-2 win over Mountainview last weekend in combination with a 4-3 win at home against Strathmore have given the Flyers some much-needed points going forward.

Hayes says the team has started to buy in and put time in, off the ice.

"A lot of it has to do with the guys showing up [ready] at the arena. You know, putting in the time off the ice, putting in the work."

The Flyers have won four of their last six games and are looking to keep their two game win streak going when they take on the Coaldale Copperheads Friday, November 8 at 8 o'clock at thee Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex.
