The Foothills Falcons JV basketball team continues their journey today, February 11, at the Foothills Composite High School Falcons Classic.

The boys went up against two strong teams yesterday, February 10, and came away with two easy victories.

First game was against their cross town rivals, the HTA Knights, and ended in a 74-53 score for the Falcons.

The Comp's Kolby Sadownyk had a big game with 14 points, 4 rebounds and was a huge spark for the boys to drive them to the 'W' in the second half.

Cade Purinton also played great adding 13 points to the win and 4 steals and both players won MVP for the match up.

In last night's 8 o'clock game FCHS tipped off against Calgary's Nelson Mandela School and won it without breaking too much of a sweat.

Purinton would add another game MVP under his belt with 18 points, 4 assists and lead the team with tons of energy.

And Falcon's Jaxen Perrett got the other MVP with a big 20 points and 6 rebounds to add to the boys 100-66 win over the city team.

As for Today the JV Falcons will square up against Edmonton's Ross Shepherd School in the championship game of the tourney.

Game time is at 4 p.m. at the Comp and it's free to the public.
