Turner Valley's Jacob Libbus is holding his own at the Alberta Men's Curling Playdowns in Westlock.
He won both his games Thursday, February 6, 9-6 in an extra end over Strathmore's Kevin Park and then 9-4 over Peace River's Scott Webb in the evening draw.
Libbus sits second in Pool "A" with a 2-and-1 record, just behind Brendan Bottcher, who's at 3-and-0.
Libbus is back on the ice Friday, February 7 in the 9:30 a.m. draw against Edmonton's Tom Appelman and then squares off against Sherwood Park's James Pahl at 6:30 Friday night to wrap up the round robin.
Calgary's Jeremy Harty rink, which includes Okotoks, Kyler Kleibrink, who throws third stones, is 1-and-2 in Pool "B" after losing both their games Thursday.
They'll need to win both their games Friday against Edmonton's Evan Van Amsterdam in the 2:30 p.m. draw and Calgary's Daylen Vavrek in the evening draw.
Playoffs start Saturday, February 8.
