The Highwood Mustangs Varsity girls take on the Strathmore Spartans Saturday, March 2, at Holy Trinity in Okotoks in the Foothills Basketball League finals.

Mustangs Coach, Ryan Hayden, says the Spartans had success against his team this season.

"Lost two close ones kind of early in the season and then beat them at the end of January. They're a very aggressive team. In both games they beat us, they forced a lot of turnovers. Which is not usually like us. Holding onto the ball is one of the things we do very well."

Win, lose or draw, the Mustangs head to Cochrane Thursday, March 7 for zones, with a shot at provincials on the line.

Saturday's game gets going at 2 o'clock.
