The Highwood Mustangs Varsity girls basketball squad are in DeWinton Wednesday, February 13, to take on the Strathcona-Tweedsmuir Spartans.

The Mustangs are having a great season and Coach Ryan Hayden says he can thank talent, hard work and teamwork for that.

"We have a nice group right now, lot's of work to be done of course. But so far so good. Good hard working team, full of great kids, who play well as a team together and it's led to some pretty great results."

High River's Notre Dame Collegiate Timberwolves boys are in DeWinton as well.

Around the league the HTA Knights girls and boys are home to Strathmore.

In Junior Varsity boys and girls action, the T-Wolves are in Okotoks to take on the Comp Falcons.

In action from Tuesday, February 12, the Highwood Mustangs grade nine girls and boys were in Okotoks to face Okotoks Junior High, with the girls coming out on the losing end 55-22.

A very close game for the Mustangs boys, who fell to OJ 48-47 on a buzzer beating three-pointer.
