The 10th Annual Sandy Bexson Memorial Girls Basketball Tournament gets going again Friday, February 3 and Saturday, February 4, at Highwood High School.

The Mustangs Varsity girls get the party started at 2 o'clock Friday against the Bow Valley Bobcats and Coach Curt Colfer says he'd like to see his team win the whole thing, but...

"There's a tough field in the tournament. There's one team in particular that's the second ranked team in the Province, that's here this weekend, they're very strong. For us, the tournament's about getting us prepared for our zone tournament and giving us a chance to get into Provincials. So, that's what our goal and our focus is for the tournament."

Highwood Mustangs Varsity Girls basketball coach Curt Colfer says anything can happen, but it's going to be tough for his hometown Mustangs to come out with top spot this weekend, given the talent coming to town.

Colfer says they have two teams from Medicine Hat, Cochrane and as far away as Athabasca coming for the tournament.

The hometown Mustangs kick things off Friday at 2 o'clock against the Bow Valley Bobcats.

The tournament goes into the night Friday and all day Saturday with the finals Saturday afternoon starting at 5 o'clock.

Mustangs Centre Anna Aguinaldo has confidence the Mustangs will be the "A" side winners!

Mustangs Point Guard Brook Dyck says they'll have some pressure on them as the host squad.
