Reece Soukoroff was the hero for the Okotoks Oilers Tuesday, February 14, as they solidified their hold on third spot in the AJHL's South Division with a 4-3 win over the Canmore Eagles.

With the Eagles leading 3-2 in the third period, Jordan Xavier got the tying goal just shy of the 12 minute mark, while Soukoroff popped the winner on the power play at 15:29 to give the Oilers the win and a three point lead over the fourth place Eagles.

The Oilers remain a point back of the Calgary Canucks for second spot as the Canucks earned a 5-4 overtime win over the Drumheller Dragons.

The Oilers are back in action Friday, February 17, when the league leading Brooks Bandits come to town.
