The Okotoks Oilers picked up two wins over the weekend, 3-2 in the shoot-out Saturday, February 4, to the Calgary Canucks and 4-0 Sunday, February 5, over the Grande Prairie Storm.

Oilers forward Kyle Gordon says Sunday's game against the Storm lacked the intensity of Saturday's contest against the Canucks.

"Felt a little bit slower than yesterday, there wasn't as much energy. But we just kind of had to bear down and get the job done and play hard for our goalie, (Riley Morris) because he's been playing hard for us."

The Oilers move three points up on the Canucks for second spot in the AJHL's South Division with the wins.

They're home to the Lloydminster Bobcats Friday, February 10.
