The Okotoks Oilers faced their first loss of the season as they were defeated 4-2 by the Fort McMurray Oil Barons last night in the AJHL at the Pason Cennential Arena.
They had won 10 straight games, a team record, as they started the 2017/18 season.
The stands were full as well with 1372 people showing up to pay tribute to Okotoks Hockey mom Tara Roe after she lost her life in a mass shooting in Las Vegas last week.
Next up they host the Brooks Bandits on Sunday. Puck drops at 4:15 at the Pason Centennial Arena.
