No Football at Highwood High School this year may be a loss for that program, but it's benefited others.

Mustangs Athletic Director, Curt Colfer, says it's been a boon to the schools volleyball program.

"Some of our multi-sport athletes decided to play volleyball when our football team unfortunately folded. So we were lucky enough to get some of those athletes to come across and play some volleyball for our boys teams."

He says the girls took the silver medal at a tournament in Claresholm over the weekend.

The regular season gets started this week for both the boys and girls volleyball programs.
