The high school basketball provincials get started for a couple of local teams Thursday, March 15.

The Foothills Falcons are in Medicine Hat for the 4A Provincials.

They take on Cardston High in their opener at 11 Thursday morning.

The Willow Creek Cobras are hosting the 2A Provincials in Claresholm.

The home town Cobras get the opening round bye and will play their first game Friday, March 16 at 2:15 p.m.

The Provincials run through Saturday, March 17.
