The championship final heat for the 2017 Calgary GMC Stampede Rangeland Derby championship will have Logan Gorst, Kurt Bensmiller, Obrey Motowylo and Chanse Vigen facing off for the 100 thousand dollar prize tonight.

Troy Dorchester, who had the lead for most of the week, was the odd man out, just 54 one-hundredths of a second out of a spot in tonights final.

Okotoks Mark Sutherland earned the third fastest time last night but a false start and some equipment problems kept him out of the finals.

High River's Jason Glass was 15th on the night, but he also had equipment problems on Friday and wasn't able to finish the race.

Jordie Fike ended the night in 31.
