High River chuckwagon driver Jason Glass and his horses are hard at work getting ready for the WPCA season.

Glass says once the snow melts he likes to get his thoroughbreds out and on the track.

"It's every day from sun-up to sundown. You know once the weather allows us to start training. It's the best time of the year, you know, you get the new ones going, and the old ones in shape.

The season gets started Wednesday, May 31, at Evergreen Park in Grande Prairie.
