The 4th annual Chad Besplug Invitational Bull Riding event goes Saturday February 25 in Claresholm.

Besplug says one of the features is the bull fighting event where it's literally man against beast.

"What they try and do is avoid, in an artistic way, these Mexican fighting bulls which are really mean, really aggressive, I mean guys jump over them, do back flips, it's insane," he says.

And when it comes to the bullriding, Besplug says this is really a case of the best against the best.

"The list of bulls that we've put together, every one of them is thought about, talked about, we try to make it as even a competition for the riders as possible," he says. "As far as the bull riders go, we have a world champion coming this year."

He says this year's event is unlike any he's put on in the past featuring music and this year, lots of spectacular lighting.

The event gets started at 5:00 Saturday afternoon at the Agriplex with the bull riding at 7 followed by entertainment with Lindsay Butler.
