Looks like the Easter weekend planned opening of the Winter Green Golf Club out in Bragg Creek is going to be put off a few days.

A little snow heading into the Easter long weekend has pushed things back a bit.

Head Pro Tom Day says for those familiar with the course, it's like a resort course, but without having to head to the mountains to play.

"It does feel like you're a little bit in the mountains. We kind of say "Golf in the Foothills" is our motto, but definitely some cool holes, you're out in the forest, no houses around the golf course. Very quiet. Serene. A beautiful environment."

Day says they'll get up and running once the snow melts, and they can dry things off a bit.
