The High river Farmers' Market is getting ready to wrap up what organizers are calling a very successful year.

Orvella Small with Foothills SNAPS, which put on the event this year, says they loved having the market on the newly redesigned 4th Avenue.

"The vendors really like it and the people who come to shop love the feel of being able to walk down the middlle of the road, gaze upon the different vendors and take their time to be able to look and walk back and forth," she says. "The trees added an excellent dynamic to it too, they really appreciate the shade they provided as well."

Small says each week the street was crowded with people shopping local, and she says she would like to thank the community for its tremendous support.

"We'd like to thank the community of High River for supporting it and all the vendors that have come out to ensure we had a great 2015 year for the Farmers' Market because it's been great," she says.

Although it's not official yet, Small says the Foothills SNAPS will most likely continue to organize the event again next year.

The last Farmers' Market of the season takes place on Sept. 17 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Small says she hopes everyone will come out and show their support for the final day.
