Evansburg RCMP have laid an additional 60 charges against a Parkland County woman in regard to an investigation around starving horses.

48 year old Patricia Lynn Moore, was charged with three counts of permitting and or causing unnecessary pain, suffering, or injury to animals on Saturday, January 5, but was charged with a further 60 counts in relation to the 65 horses and six dogs in various states of health on her property.

She remains in custody, while a second person, who was also charged, 50 year old, Ross Andrew Atkinson, has been released on bail.

RCMP say they're not looking for donations of cash or living space for the animals, as that's already been taken care of.

They say anyone looking for donations is likely a fraudster and should be reported.
