Brian Procter with Environment Canada says the precipitation was about what was expected.

"Perhaps we're seeing a little bit more snowfall intensity than we first expected but it was a fairly expected low pressure area that's starting to cross southern British Columbia after producing some significant winds on the B.C. south coast last night," Procter says. "There is some more moisture coming, it does look like we're going to get some snow through the afternoon hours but in general sort of an improving trend as we get into the evening."

He says we could get back to the low to mid teens by Wednesday or Thursday next week.
