Growth may seem like a key term used in describing Okotoks in 2015 and local Municipal Enforcement would agree.

Okotoks Municipal Enforcement were kept on their toes with constant changes throughout town.

Tim Stobbs, Municipal Enforcement Manager, says ongoing construction to help with traffic flow and increase and cultural changes in neighbourhoods are some of the side effects.

Stobbs says time was also spent on tracking vandalism.

"As a community that has 30% of our population 19 years old and younger, we see those childlike vandalism things, we don't see large volume vandalism like you see high dollar ones. We see the little ones like broken trees, the little tags on signs, the nuisance ones that can be a problem."

Heading into 2016 Stobbs says he expects to see more moderate growth and an increase in patrol for certain areas of town.

"Our community is growing which is always exciting for us, we get to get out and meet new people as they come to town," he says. "Some of the challenges I think we're going to have in the new year are making sure we maintain our river valley patrols and providing security along our pathway systems to make sure everyone can use the active transportation plan to the best of their ability."
