Once again High River and Foothills residents stepped up in a big way for the annual AM 1140 and Sun Country 99.7 "Food Mountain" food drive, all to fill the shelves for the Salvation army's food bank here in High River Thursday, July 19.

The drive brought in 780 pounds of food and $446.40 in cash donations.

Salvation Army Lieutenant Chad Cole was pretty excited to find out Kraft was donating a further 10,000 pounds of food to the food bank during Thursday's Hockeyville celebrations in downtown High River.

But the topper, came later in the day during the Kraft Hockeyville celebrations downtown, when Kraft announced they were donating a further 10,000 pounds of food to the food bank.

That wrapped up a very busy week for High River Salvation Army Lieutenant Chad Cole, who's wife gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday, July 17.
