Narrow Road Home and JRRR Bar-B-Que have teamed up for a unique fundraiser that should make suppers a little easier to plan.

Denae Yepiz, a former client who now works at one of the Christian based addiction recovery homes in High River, says the clients are going door-to-door selling JRRR's products.

"He's been in business for ten years and he has really reasonable prices," she says. "The food is cooked first so all you have to do is thaw, reheat and enjoy. He specializes in chicken, pulled pork and brisket all in a southern bar-b-que style also with two of his homemade sauces."

She says with the weather starting to turn colder they'll also be selling at Timothy Fred's from 3:30 to 5:30 Wednesday to this Sunday, November 5. Orders have to be in by November 6 so the meat can be cooked by the November 18 pick up date.

Money raised goes to extra curricular activities and operating expenses.

Yepiz says the women at Narrow Road Home were selling ice cream during the summer and he stopped to buy some and asked if he could get involved. He set up his booth next to theirs and they struck up a friendship and he's been helping since then.

She says so far the campaign's gone well.

"The community is really supportive anyway so it's really nice to see them stand behind us," Yepiz says. "There are a few things J.R. is selling special for the fundraiser so it's a good time to come out and buy."

She says anyone who'd like to help out Narrow Road Home can do so by stopping by Timothy Fred's or by calling JRRR Bar-B-Que at 403-200-4578 and mention it's for their campaign.
