If the provincial election were called tomorrow the Alberta Party's Tim Meech would be able to hit the ground running here in Livingstone-Macleod.

Meech says he's as ready as ready can be for when the writ is dropped.

"Every time we go out and talk to people and have a chat, it's more and more positive and the momentum is definitely growing. You know the election is definitely on people's minds, it's getting more and more as we get closer and closer. The government will probably call a sitting of the legislature here and they'll have a little chat and then I'm sure right after that they'll drop that writ and then it'll be full game on."

He says he's been doing a lot of meet and greets and door knocking, saying he's getting a lot of positive feedback on the Alberta Party's message.

Meech says he's got his campaign team in place, and has already got his signs printed and ready to go for the day the election is called.
