Improvements to the Dr. Lander Memorial Swimming Pool and adding more pathways are the priorities of a new survey from the Town of Turner Valley.

Hundreds of residents responded to the survey, which will help the Town identify both the short and long term goals of their Parks and Pathways Committee.

Mayor Kelly Tuck says there's particular interest in extending existing trails.

"We have the Friendship Trail, which gets us from Black Diamond to Turner Valley. But it would be nice to be able to add onto that, because we did put up the new pathway going up Okalta. So can we take it up through the golf course? Can we add into it going into Black Diamond going through the M.D. (of Foothills) lands? Let's create another, bigger pathway."

In all over 400 people responded to the survey, which Tuck says was the best response they've ever had to a survey.
