Both the Wildrose and Conservative Party's will be working hard to get the unification message out heading into their respective votes this summer.

Highwood Wildrose MLA Wayne Anderson says among Wildrose members, who need a "yes" vote  of 75 per cent support, to merge with the PC's, support is strong.

"We did a quick straw poll, just after the unification agreement came out, before people had a chance to read it, we had a telephone town hall meeting. And I think there was almost six thousand people on that call. And we just did a quick straw poll, and at that call, over 80 per cent were already in favour of it, even before they read the agreement."

PC members need 50 per cent, plus-one to ratify the merger.

Both parties vote Saturday, July 22.
