The streets of Black Diamond were filled with music and unique cars on Sunday July 30 as Marv's annual Rock & Roll Classic Show and Shine kicked off.

Close to 350 classic cars were taken in by about 7000 visitors throughout the day.

Admission was $10.00 per car, Event creator Marv Garriott says he's hoping to donate all leftover proceeds after covering the costs of the event to a local curling rink.

The Jacob Libbus curling rink out of the Oilfields curling club is heading to Sweden next April as part of the Nordic Junior Curling Tour.

Garriott says the day was good fun for everyone who attended.

"It was just a spectacular day, everybody loved the entertainment, it went really, really nice."

This is the tenth Rock & Roll Classic Show and Shine Garriott has hosted.
