The bill to end daylight saving time in Alberta is officially dead.

The private members bill was introduced back in the Spring, but over the summer an all-party committee said the bill would have a negative effect on Alberta's economy.

The bill would have kept us on daylight saving time year round, meaning we'd be the same time as Saskatchewan all year, but two hours ahead of B.C. in the wintertime.

We switch back to standard time Sunday, November 5.
